Step 1

Step 1

Mix cheese, pickled jalapeños, egg, panko breadcrumbs, milk, Worcestershire sauce, and seasonings in a large bowl.

Step 2

Step 2

Then add the ground beef and lightly mix until everything is combined. Do not overwork the beef.

Step 3

Step 3

Divide the ground beef mixture into six even wedges (I cut it like a pizza).

Step 4

Step 4

Then roll each wedge into a ball and smash it into a burger shape. The burgers should be slightly bigger than your buns. Place your thumb into the center of each burger to create an indentation.

Step 5

Step 5

Heat your grill to 450°F. Place your burgers directly on the grill and cook for 5 minutes.

Step 6

Step 6

Then flip the patties and cook for an additional 5-6 minutes, or until cooked to your preferred temperature (150°F for medium well).

Step 7

Step 7

If you want to add cheese to the top of your burgers, do it in the last couple minutes of cooking. You can also toast your buns during that time. Enjoy!

Recommended Toppings

Our favorite toppings is pepper jack cheese, pickled jalapeños, mashed avocado, lettuce, tomatoes, and red onions.

Q: Can I cook these burgers on pellet grill?

A: Yes! Pre-heat your pellet grill to 450°F, then cook your burgers for 5-6 minutes on each side.

Q: Can I use a different kind of cheese?

A: Yep. Pepper-jack, monterey jack, colby-jack, American, and gruyere (for a bougie option) would all be great.
