Description

This air fryer blackened chicken recipe makes it easy to cook super flavorful and moist chicken breast. It comes out perfectly every time, takes less than 15 minutes in the air fryer and only requires a few ingredients you probably already have in your pantry.

Ingredients

Scale

1 pound chicken breast

1 tablespoon olive oil

1/4 teaspoon ground cayenne

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon paprika

1/2 teaspoon chili powder

1/2 teaspoon cumin

Instructions

  1. Add ground cayenne, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, paprika, chili powder, and cumin to a small bowl and mix to combine.
  2. Pat your chicken dry with a paper towel. Add it to a large mixing bowl, then drizzle it with olive oil and top with the seasoning mixture. Rub it in with your hands until evenly coated.
  3. Air fry the chicken at 400°F for 6 minutes, then flip your chicken and cook for an additional 6-8 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F.

Notes

Nutrition facts are only an estimate.

If you have a thick piece of chicken, try pounding it out before you season and cook it. It helps it cook faster and more evenly, which keeps it more moist.
