Description
This Pesto Butter Salmon is the quick homemade version of Costco's salmon milano with pesto butter. It comes together in a few minutes and only requires 4 ingredients (plus salt and pepper).
Ingredients
2 large salmon fillets
4 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
3 tablespoons basil pesto
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1 tablespoon chopped fresh dill
Instructions
- Add pesto and butter to a small mixing bowl and mix until well-combined. Place the butter mixture onto a sheet of plastic wrap and roll it into a log shape. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or until ready to use.
- Preheat your oven to 400°F.
- Add the salmon fillets to a sheet pan, then sprinkle evenly with salt, pepper, and dill. Cut the butter into six equal slices and place three on each fillet of salmon (see note 1).
- Bake for 15 to 20 minutes, or until the salmon easily flakes with a fork and reaches 145°F.
Notes
- If your salmon has skin, it may stick to the bottom of the sheet pan. You can spray your sheet pan with non-stick spray or line it with parchment paper to prevent sticking.
