Description

These air fryer crunchy chickpeas are the perfect easy snack. They can be seasoned with whatever you want—ranch seasoning is my favorite—and they come together really quickly. They're also great on a salad!

Ingredients

Units Scale

15.5 ounces (1 can) chickpeas (garbanzo beans)

1 tablespoon oil (see note 1)

Seasoning of your choice, to taste (see note 2)

Instructions

  1. Drain and rinse a can of chickpeas and place them into the basket of your air fryer. Add oil and shake the basket to cover the chickpeas completely.
  2. Cook at 300°F for 30 minutes (or until crispy), removing the basket and shaking it every 5-10 minutes.
  3. Once the chickpeas are crispy, toss them with your desired seasonings while they're still hot. Allow them to cool, then transfer them to an air-tight container and enjoy them within 3 or 4 days.

Notes

  1. Use a neutral-tasting oil like avocado oil or vegetable oil. I wouldn't recommend olive oil or anything else with a distinct flavor (unless that's the flavor you're going for!).
  2. Ranch seasoning, taco seasoning, sea salt, pepper, and Tajín are a few ideas, but the possibilities are endless! You can also leave them totally plain.
