Description

This holiday rum punch is made with apple cider, pomegranate juice, fresh squeezed orange juice, golden or dark rum, and just a hint of ginger ale. It's perfect for when you're not spending your winter holiday on an island but still want some holiday cheer.

Ingredients

Scale

1/2 cup apple cider

1/4 cup pomegranate juice

Juice of half an orange (about 2 tablespoons of orange juice)

3 ounces gold rum

2 ounces ginger ale

Instructions

  1. Add apple cider, pomegranate juice, fresh orange juice, and rum to a cocktail shaker with ice and shake to combine.
  2. Pour the mixture evenly into two cocktail glasses with ice and top with ginger ale. We used fresh rosemary sprigs, pomegranate seeds, and an orange twist as garnishes.

Notes

  1. Nutritional information is only an estimate.
  2. To make this rum punch for more than two people, adjust the recipe to serve as many people as you need, then prepare it in a pitcher or drink dispenser. Drink it within the hour for best results (more on that below).
  3. We don't recommend making this drink ahead of time. The fruit juices have a tendency to change flavor after a while, and the ginger ale will go flat. It's best to drink this right after it has been prepared.
