Description
This Traeger flank steak is so flavorful and super easy. It only requires 5 ingredients and is perfect in tacos, on salad, or even on its own.
Ingredients
1-2 pound flank steak (ours was about 1.2 pounds)
3 tablespoons avocado oil (or vegetable oil)
1 ounce taco seasoning
Juice of 2 limes
4 cloves garlic, minced
Instructions
- Mix flank steak, oil, taco seasoning, and lime juice in a ziplock baggie and place in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes or up to 24 hours.
- Set your Traeger to high. Once it reaches 450°F, place the flank steak directly on the grill grates. Cook for 7-8 minutes per side, or until the internal temperature reaches 125°F (for medium rare). Remove the steak from the heat and allow it to rest for 10 minutes.
- Thinly slice the steak against the grain (cut it in the opposite direction that the muscle fibers run). Serve with tacos, quesadillas, salad, or anything else you can dream up.
Notes
Nutritional information is only an estimate.
Because flank steak is a tough cut of meat, we recommend cooking it to medium rare. However, if you'd like to cook it longer, cook it until it reaches 140°F for medium, 150°F for medium well, or 155°F for well done.
To cook this on a normal gas grill, heat your grill to 450°F and cook for 7-8 minutes on each side, or until the internal temperature reaches 125°F (or your desired temperature).
