Description

These Traeger Sweet Potatoes are so easy and the perfect side to any grilled meal. We love them with meat or fish, or as a vegetarian main. We cut them into wedges so they're like grilled sweet potato fries!

Ingredients

Scale

2 pounds sweet potatoes

3 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil

2 tablespoons BBQ dry rub (see note)

Instructions

  1. Turn your Traeger to high and wait for the temperature to reach 425°F.
  2. Cut the sweet potatoes into wedges. Add them to a large mixing bowl with the olive oil and dry rub. Mix until the sweet potatoes are evenly coated in oil and seasonings.
  3. Evenly distribute the sweet potato wedges on a piece of foil (I fold the sheet in half and fold the edges up to make it sturdier). Then place the sweet potatoes onto the Traeger. Cook for 25 minutes, flipping halfway, or until tender (they should be easy to pierce with a fork).

Notes

We love our Kansas City BBQ rub recipe and Kosmos Q Dirty Bird dry rub. Most poultry BBQ dry rubs work well.
